I get pretty excited about traveling but it can also be stressful, too. So many things to remember, right? Money, passports, identification, medications, the list goes on and on! And I haven’t even mentioned the laundry list (pardon the pun) of clothes you may have to bring.
I don’t know about you, but in my house, I have to do all the planning for our trips. From making flight arrangements to packing, most of it falls on me. But don’t feel sorry for me. It’s self induced. I’m a bit of a control freak! Even when we leave the house, I have to be the last one out so I can double check that all windows and doors are locked. I know. It’s ridiculous but my family has learned to live with it. It’s not enough that someone TELLS ME the windows and doors are locked. I have to check them myself! Don’t know where it came from but that’s just my thing.
Over the years, I’ve made it my mission to make my traveling easier. And that means finding fun but functional products that can take some of the stresses out of traveling. So check out the products below and let me know what you think!
Oscaurt Anti Theft Travel Backpack
I bought this backpack because my old laptop bag was on it’s last legs. And I have a little confession to make about this backpack. I bought this as a “surprise” for my daughter who’s in college. I had a feeling she wouldn’t like it or want it especially when she said that already had a backpack that she really liked. But I insisted. Sure enough, when it arrived she passed on it. So instead of sending it back, I took it for myself! And I love it! It might be perfect for students but it’s also perfect for traveling as well!
This backpack has a lot of storage. My laptop fits in it perfectly and it’s very comfortable on my back. I love the side pockets for my water bottle and all the storage inside! Plenty of room for cables, documents, laptop, etc. I should mention one thing about this backpack that has caused some confusion. This backpack comes with a USB cable and slot to power your device with a power pack. The power pack is NOT included. I’ve never used it to charge my phone or laptop so it’s never been an issue for me. Be sure to watch the video to see how to use the USB pocket and power pack.
Anker PowerCore Portable Charger
This portable charger is a great compliment to the Oscaurt Anti Theft Travel Backpack above. Weighing only 12.5 ounces, it can charge the Galaxy S8 five times, the iPhone 8 about seven times and an iPad mini 4 twice. It recharges itself in 10 hours. Included with the charger is a travel pouch, micro USB cable, 18-month warranty and welcome guide. This product also has great customer service!
Instead of lugging around big fat heavy books, take the new Kindle Paperwhite with you instead. It will fit perfectly in the backpack listed above! This new Kindle has more storage, is thinner and more light weight and the biggest news is that it’s waterproof! There are a few different kinds of Kindles to choose from including the Kindle Oasis or the Kindle International version. To find out more about the Kindle Paperwhite, check out my review here.
Mini Projector Capsule
This cool portable mini projector is very compact and would easily fit in a suitcase or carry-on. It’s no bigger than a can of soda. It’s wireless and can easily stream music, videos, movies, TV programs and more. Operate it directly from your phone using the Operate Capsule application. Works with iPhones and Android phones, Apple TV, laptops, Amazon Fire TV stick and even a cable box. Depending on how you connect you may also need an HDMI cable. It fits on a standard tripod and connects via wireless Bluetooth speakers and other wireless devices. It also has assorted apps that are built in such as Netflix, Hulu and Amazon video.
